Just a Glimpse of Change

Week 9 Blog

This morning as I was focusing on our assignment which was to visualize a plant, we were instructed to take a flower seed and bring it from the unseen into the seen, by planting the seed, watering it, caring for it, place it where it will get sunlight, see the seed burst; it is now a living thing. See the roots grow and expand as they penetrate the earth in search of what’s needed to sustain the life of the plant. We are to visualize the process to completion, the stem bursts through the earth forming branches and flower buds that will soon begin to unfold and the fragrance from the flower will drift about as we complete our visualization exercise bringing our flower seed from the unseen into the seen.

As I completed the exercise and continued my meditation I experienced a burst of light before my eyes, my focus immediately moved to my DMP where I saw our home in the Philippines, as our home came into view I saw the front door, then the staircase leading to the second floor with the outside veranda where I meditate and have morning coffee with my breakfast. The next scene that flashed before my eyes was walking on our white sand beach, crystal clear water, palm trees gently swaying in the tropical breeze.

What amazed me was it seemed to be some form of linking related to repeating our exercises and hard work we have done these past 2 months. What a great feeling it is to see things coming together.

Why Take a Visual Trip Backwards?

USS Wisconsin 64Masterkey Week 8

In the last assignment we created a mental image, we brought it from the invisible into the visible; this week I want you to take an object and follow it back to its origination, see of what it really consists. If you do this you will develop imagination, insight, perception and sagacity. These come not by the superficial observation of the multitude, but by a keen analytical observation which sees below the surface.

As I read our assignment for week 8 I find Haanel has chosen a battleship as the object of our focus. We are to visualize the battleship and work backwards, in other words we are supposed to take a battleship and using visualization take her apart piece by piece, you’ll understand better as we go along.

As I prepared for this assignment my thoughts traveled back to a time when I lived in the Norfolk Virginia area. I recalled visiting the Nauticus Museum where the Battleship Wisconsin is one of the museums attractions. The USS Wisconsin is permanently berthed alongside the museum for visitors to board and view, as I reminisced about the numerous times I spent walking her deck I recalled how magnificent she is, her history going back as far as WWII she is the sister ship of the USS Missouri well known as being the place where the Japanese officially surrendered. The signing took place on the deck of the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay on September 2, 1945.

As I walked the decks fore and aft, stem to stern of this Iowa class Battleship the USS Wisconsin, I was in awe of the size and work that went into building such a ship.

Today I find myself visiting the same ship once again only this time there is one major difference, today I am visiting her in my mind, Now I must begin taking her apart dismantling the gun turrets, pulling up the decking, removing the outer steel plates all the way back to the point there is no ship, only architects and engineers. Taking another step back we find the Secretary of Defense ordering the plans and blueprints, and congress debating the funding, and to whom do these congressman represent, but you and I, we are at the core of all things, “Imagination is the constructive form of thought which must precede every constructive form of action”

You will find exercises of this kind invaluable. When the thought has been trained to look below the surface everything takes on a different appearance, the insignificant becomes significant, the uninteresting interesting; the things which we supposed to be of no importance are seen to be the only really vital things in existence.

Although I am currently many miles away from where the USS Wisconsin is berthed using my imagination and visualization I have the ability to once again walk the decks of this magnificent ship anytime I choose to.

My Old Blueprint

Week # 6

My old blueprint like a mighty stallion has reared up on its hindquarters showing how determined it is to put a halt to my desire to create a new blueprint. In other words my old blueprint has caused procrastination, excuses, and as many road blocks as possible to deter me from my work. It’s been a real struggle to keep moving forward and complete the required elements this week.
The work continues….. “I know that I have the ability to achieve the object of my definite purpose in life, therefore, I DEMAND of myself persistent, continuous action toward its attainment, and I here and now promise to render such action.”
“As we become conscious of the wisdom in the world within, we mentally take possession of this wisdom, and by taking mental possession we come into actual possession of the power and wisdom necessary to bring into manifestation the essentials necessary for our most complete and harmonious development.”

The challenge is before us, the victory’s at hand
